News & Special Events
The SDSM&T Foundation's efforts are focused on raising and managing funds to assist and benefit the School of Mines. We accomplish this through a variety of informational and fund-raising activities.
The informational activities include a quarterly newspaper, the Foundation Update; a semi-annual planned giving newsletter, the Heritage Outlook; as well as one-on-one and group meetings across the country.
Fund-raising activities include semi-annual mailings for the annual fund; a spring mailing for the Tech Challenge Scholarship Program, semi annual phone-a-thons; and a spring campus campaign. Additional needs are frequently identified and appropriate fund-raising strategies are commonly pursued in relation to these needs as well.
