Investment Objectives

The SDSM&T Foundation assets are being closely monitored with moderate growth and management of risk as primary goals. Investment returns are sought from both market appreciation and from dividends and interest. The portfolio is diversified between fixed income and equity holdings. The objective is to provide a predictable stream of income while allowing the growth of the principal to meet or outpace the rate of inflation. An appointed Investment Committee oversees our professional management team.
